The longer I live with my different disabilities, the more i realize that one of them really gets me into trouble: Tourret (or at least the way I transfered it into SL).
At the moment each attack of Tourret (which appears randomly about every 5-10 minutes) makes me shout some (randomly chosen) swearwords. Some of these words were - as I must confess - quite obscene (on purpose). But the more I get around, the more people tell me to just shut up, which of course is just the same as they would do in RL.
Well the point I fear at the moment is, that some of these people start reporting me to admins for using bad language or spamming the chat... This would lead to a ban for me. And this would kill the whole experiment.
So I'm in quite a conflict at the moment. What I did as a first countermeassure is to reduce the obsceneties and to introduce some not so bad words into the script, plus I reduced the amount of words said.
I would be happy about some feedback and thoughts of you about that. Maybe someone has an idea on how to cope with this situation.
All the other disabilities do stay the same at the moment.

Anyway, more pertinently to your needs on this, can I suggest you talk to Robin Linden, explain the situation and get her take on it. In general LL are pretty understanding about such things, and will work with you to produce something that will generate your desired effect and let you not get banned. You could, for example, using the sim tags to moderate the language in a PG sim - contrary to real Tourret's but as long as your language isn't hate language/racist etc. you might still get ARed but you should be safe from being banned. Simply raising it with them might help protect you too.
Hi. I think your project is very interesting! I have Tourette Syndrome, and I wondered if you would be adding any more tics to your tourette script, in addition to coprolalia (involuntary shouting of 'inappropriate' words and phrases)? Coprolalia is the unfortunate and embarassing stereotype for TS, but in reality, TS with prominent coprolalia is rather rare.
The greatest disability most people with TS face are the motor tics. Like the vocal tics, these tics wax and wane in their ocurrence and severity. Sometimes they're easily ignored; other times they can seriously hinder normal activities.
Every person with TS has a uniuqe set of tics. To give you an example, I'll list mine. :-)
Rapid hand flapping and smacking
Muscle clenching (mainly upper body)
Rapid knee tapping, foot shaking
Finger drumming and snapping
Jaw clenching
Blinking
My vocal tics are grunting, echolalia (repetition of other peoples' vocalizations) and palilalia (repetition of my own vocalizations). The palilalia is my prominent vocal tic, but even so, it's occasional.. like it'll happen several times or for several hours one day, and not happen again for days or weeks.
I think it's great that you are including TS in the array of disabilities you're working with in SL, and I think this project has the potential to help people broaden their understanding of what it means to be disabled. It would be unfortunate, though, if the "2ndTS" only ever has coprolalia, thereby reinforcing the stereotype that all people with TS walk around swearing all day.. lol.

I'm quite aware of the fact that most TS syndroms are not coprolalia (I did not know of that name, to start with), but I just do not have much experience with TS myself... And well, I knew of coprolalia and just started with it...
Echolalia and palilalia can easily be added to 2ndTS so I will do this in the next few days.
If you want to, you could contact me and (maybe) support 2ndTS by providing some anymations which resemble your ticks (I'm not so much into animations).
Just contact me inworld so we can see how we might get going with it...
